This book tells the history of La Guilde du Livre, a pioneer publishing venture founded by Albert Mermoud in Lausanne, 1936. Robert Doisneau, Izis, Jacques Prevert, Colette, Blaise Cendras, Paul Strand and many others were published by La Guilde. The book contains 600 reproductions illustrating 84 photo books published by La Guilde du Livre between 1941 and 1977, with bibliographical texts and historical comments by Eric Desachy and Guy Mandery. Edited by Anatole Desachy.
