Void, 2016. Edition of 750 copies. 56 unbinded folds in hard cardboard Kraft box, 160 x 220 mm, 228 pp., b/w and color illustrated throughout. Photographs by Antoine D'Agata. Design by Joao Linneu.
From 2005 to 2009 Antoine D´Agata had spent most of his time in Cracolândia, the crack neighborhoods of São Paulo and Salvador. Doubtless the roughest areas of Brazil.
With 113 images and more than 80 unseen photographs, Cidade de Pedra is the most comprehensive document about this period. It reveals the brutality and the intimacy of his experience. "An unfinished diary of fragile and innocent interactions" in his own words.
