Archivo Nómada is an unprecedented journey through the first photographs of Alberto García-Alix. Te first volume includes 2,154 photographs taken between 1975 and 1981. They show the author's life and environment at a historic moment for Spain, one of great political, social and cultural turmoil, such as the Transition.

The first volume of the collection covers a period of seven years (1975-1981) marked by the death of General Franco and the emergence of the so-called Movida Madrileña. In this period, the photographs by Alberto García-Alix show the first CNT rally after the civil war; one of the first demonstrations in Spain for the rights of homosexuals, lesbians and transsexuals; the birth of youth subcultures or the effervescent cultural activity of the Madrid Rastro; and also his start in drugs.

There are seven years that begin with the debut of the photographer behind the camera and that elapse until the celebration of his first individual exhibition at the Buades gallery in Madrid. The second volume of the “Nómada Archive” collection, scheduled for 2023, will collect the baton from 1982 to 1986.
